Copper pipe refers to the copper material made by pressing or drawing copper. Because of its strong and wear-resistant characteristics, it is often used in the electrical, industrial, and construction industries. Copper pipes can be produced by extrusion, continuous casting and rolling, and top-up methods.

Copper tube is an important raw material for processing and manufacturing refrigeration equipment. It mainly has the following two uses:

Making a heat exchanger

Making connecting pipes and fittings

Classification of copper pipes

1. Air conditioner copper tubes can be roughly divided into ordinary air conditioner copper tubes and degreasing air conditioner copper tubes:

Ordinary air conditioner: The thickness is generally 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 0.5mm thick, 4 minutes, 0.6mm thick, 5 minutes, and 6 minutes 0.7mm thick. It is mainly used for R22.

Degreasing air-conditioning copper pipe: Also called "oil-free air-conditioning copper pipe", there are 2 points, 3 points are 0.8mm thick, 4 points, 5 points, and 6 points are 1.0mm thick. It is mainly used for refrigerants such as R410.

2. Specific classification of copper pipe materials for air conditioners:

Oxygen-free copper: Including high-purity oxygen-free copper (TU0, TU1, TU2) and phosphorus deoxidized copper (TUP, TP1, TP2, etc.), which is characterized by very low oxygen content, and a small amount of deoxidizer remains in deoxidized copper;

Oxygen copper: mainly pure copper (T1, T2, T3, etc.) and tough copper, characterized by high oxygen content;

Special copper: there are arsenic copper, silver copper, copper tellurium, etc., which is characterized by adding different trace alloy elements to achieve the purpose of improving the comprehensive performance of the material.

Copper tube

The copper pipe used in the refrigeration industry is copper, with a copper content of more than 99.90%. It has the good characteristics of copper metal, a high-quality base metal, and is widely used in various fields of industry and civil use, and plays an important role. There are three main types: TP2, T2, and TU1.

TP2 is phosphorous deoxidized copper, which contains 0.015-0.04% of phosphorus, and has good welding and cold bending performance. It is widely used in manufacturing fields such as air-conditioning refrigeration connection pipes, stove gas path connection pipes, and electric heating pipes.

T2 is pure copper with a copper content of more than 99.90%. When users have high requirements for the conductivity of materials, T2 copper pipes will be the first choice.

TU1 is oxygen-free copper with copper content ≥99.97%, extremely low oxygen and impurity content, high purity, excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, good ductility, good processability, welding, corrosion resistance and cold resistance. Due to the high requirements and high cost of its production, the price of its products is significantly higher than other types of copper pipes.

Brass tube

For copper-zinc alloy pipes, the number after the H letter in the grade often represents the middle value of its copper content, and the zinc content is the rest. As the copper content of different grades of copper pipes becomes higher and higher, they generally show better quality and elongation performance. Mainly used as water pipes and wading connections.

Second, the discrimination of the quality of copper pipes

1. Generally, you need to observe the appearance of copper pipes to make judgments. The first thing to do is to look at the color of the copper pipes. According to the type of copper pipes purchased, make different color judgments. Copper, impurities in low-quality copper.

2. Generally good copper pipes are processed from pure copper, which will have better elongation, so a high-quality copper pipe will have a deep line. After drawing inside the copper pipe, if it is the same as the outer wall, it indicates that the overall quality of this copper pipe fitting is relatively high. However, if the color or other aspects are different, it is likely that some substances like iron are added to it. However, relatively good copper pipes are used in the military industry and its special industries.

3. Generally processed copper pipes are mainly divided into hard, semi-rigid and soft states. Different forms have different flexibility. Generally, it can be determined by bending copper pipes. High-quality copper pipes are very easy Bent off, but if it is difficult to bend or there will be cracks after bending, it indicates that the quality of the copper pipe is not very good.
